FVM Global Midwifery Fee
Fox Valley Midwifery provides care using a global fee model, which means the cost of care is a single comprehensive fee rather than billing separately for each visit or service. This approach allows families to focus on their care and relationship with their midwife rather than navigating itemized medical billing.

The global midwifery fee includes:

Financial Accessibility:
Fox Valley Midwifery is a covered provider for BadgerCare! – Fox Valley Midwifery accepts Wisconsin BadgerCare Medicaid for covered services. Because Medicaid reimburses only a portion of the global midwifery fee, an out-of-pocket portion is required for services not covered by Medicaid.
Payment Plans – Flexible payment plans are available and can be arranged during early prenatal visits so families can spread payments throughout pregnancy.
Healthshare Reimbursement – Families participating in healthshare programs (Samaritan, CHM) may be able to submit midwifery services for reimbursement depending on the policies of their program.
Discounts – In certain situations, discounts may be available. Please inquire during your consultation to discuss your circumstances.
Community Exchange – Midwifery has always been rooted in community. Historically, midwives were often supported through shared resources, meals, farm goods, and skilled trades offered by the families they served. In that same spirit, Fox Valley Midwifery is sometimes open to partial trade or skill exchange as part of a payment arrangement for care. Examples might include things like skilled trades (home repair, carpentry, electrical work), farm goods such as locally raised meat, professional services, or other meaningful contributions that support the practice or household. These arrangements are limited and considered on a case-by-case basis, and any exchange is applied as partial credit toward the global midwifery fee based on fair market value. If this is something you would like to explore, please feel welcome to mention it when reaching out for care so we can talk about what might work well for both of us.
